If it is your intent to present for Technical Membership Entry (TME) during 2026, you are required to complete all the details below, pay the exam fee of £295 and register by 17:00 on 12 January 2026.

Before proceeding, please note the following:

• To register for TME, you must be a Student or Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters. If you are not a Student or Associate, you can join here.
• TME is open to Associate members and Students who wish to apply, who have obtained a minimum of five qualifying points through a combination of academic qualifications and structured professional development. If you are unsure of your number of points, please contact the Institute.
• By registering, you are committing to submitting your full TME application by 17:00 on 2 March 2026.
• Part of the TME application is the verification of Work Records. Please ensure you have identified one or more individuals who have agreed to act as your Verifiers.
• Everything you need to know about the TME process is contained in the How To Guides, please ensure you have read these documents and have a thorough understanding of what is required.

If you are ready and eligible, we look forward to receiving your TME Registration by 12 January 2026 and the final TME application by 2 March 2026.

TME Fees - Terms and Conditions

Failure to submit your full TME application by 17:00 on 2 March (after registering for TME and paying the assessment fees by 12 January) results in the applicant losing the assessment fee. In exceptional circumstances we may be able to carry over the assessment fee providing you contact us in advance to discuss. Should we allow you to carry over your assessment fee to the following year and you are still unable to submit your TME application by 2 March, we will be unable to carry your fees forward to a future year and no refund will be issued.
