Join our Wales Member Network for their annual arboriculture event that will look at a street tree renewal project in the market town of Machynlleth in Powys, mid Wales.
The event will begin in the Vane Tempest room, Y Plas, Machynlleth with a joint presentation from the North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agent (NMWTRA) and Powys Council staff who will give an overview of the Machynlleth street tree project and the various aspects involved. After this, James Dalrymple and Howard Gray from GreenBlue Urban will give a talk entitled Street Trees - Creating Healthier Urban Spaces in Harmony with Nature on the systems and solutions they provide to ensure healthy street trees. Steve Ashall from KBI (sustainable porous paving solutions) will be bringing samples and leaflets and will be available to answer any questions throughout the day. After a buffet lunch, members will split into groups to explore Machynlleth's street trees in situ.
