31/12/2026
CEnv Registration

(CEnv registration is hosted within the events booking function, however, please be assured that you are registering for CEnv and not an event)

If it is your intent to present for Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) during 2026, you are required to complete all the details below, pay (at least) the first instalment of £200 and register by 17:00 on 1 June 2026.

Before proceeding, please note the following:

  • The Institute of Chartered Foresters can only accept applications from our Associate, Chartered and Fellow members. If you are not a member, you can join as an Associate member here.
  • Applicants should have at least the equivalent of four years full-time relevant work-based practice which does not need to be continuous, please refer to the CEnv Guidance notes for further details regarding the entry criteria.
  • By registering, you are committing to pay the final instalment of £200 (if not paid with first instalment) and submit your full CEnv application by 17:00 on 1 August 2026.
  • If you are invited to attend a Professional Interview, you should note that these will take place in Edinburgh on 18 and 19 November 2026. The Institute is unable to accommodate requests to change interview times and it is therefore advised that you ensure your work and personal commitments allow you to be available at this time.
  • If you register and later decide not to submit this year, please let us know as soon as you can. We may be able to defer your submission and carry your fees to 2027, please see Terms & Conditions below.
  • Everything you need to know about the CEnv process is contained in the CEnv Guidance Notes, please ensure you have read this documentand have a thorough understanding of what is required.

If you are ready and eligible, we look forward to receiving your CEnv Registration by 1 June 2026 and the final CEnv application by 1 August 2026. Please get in touch should you have any questions.

CEnv Fees - Terms and Conditions

Failure to submit your full CEnv application by 17.00 on 1 August (after registering for CEnv and paying the assessment fees by 1 June) results in the applicant losing the assessment fees. If your employer has paid your registration fees directly to the Institute and you do not submit an application within the required timeframe, or you decide to withdraw from the process, we will be unable to provide a refund to your employer, and it is your responsibility to inform your employer that you did not submit an application. In exceptional circumstances we may be able to carry over the first instalment of the assessment fees providing you contact us in advance to discuss. Should we allow you to carry over your assessment fees to following year and you are still unable to submit your CEnv application by 1 August, we will be unable to carry your fees forward to a future year and no refund will be issued.
