If it is your intent to present for Technical Membership Entry (TME) during 2027, you are required to complete all the details below, pay the assessment fee of £295 and register by 17:00 on 1 February 2027.

Before proceeding, please note the following:

• To register for TME, you must be an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters. If you are not an Associate member, you can join here.
• To meet the entry criteria, applicants must have obtained a minimum of 5 qualifying points as detailed below:
  - 2 qualifying points must come from a minimum of two years of relevant work experience (1 point is awarded for each year)
  - 3 points can be gained by additional years' of relevant work experience or by holding qualifications that are recognised by the Institute
• By registering, you are committing to submitting your full TME application by 17:00 on 1 March 2027.
  Please note that part of the TME application is the verification of your Work Records, therefore, please ensure you have identified one or more individuals who have agreed to act as your Verifiers. Everything you need to know about the TME process is contained in the How To Guides, please ensure you have read these documents and have a thorough understanding of what is required.

TME Fees - Terms and Conditions

Failure to submit your full TME application by 17:00 on 1 March (after registering for TME and paying the assessment fees by 1 February) results in the applicant losing the assessment fee. If your employer has paid your registration fees directly to the Institute and you do not submit an application within the required timeframe, or you decide to withdraw from the process, we will be unable to provide a refund to your employer, and it is your responsibility to inform your employer that you did not submit an application. In exceptional circumstances we may be able to carry over the assessment fee providing you contact us in advance to discuss. Should we allow you to carry over your assessment fee to the following year and you are still unable to submit your TME application by 1 March, we will be unable to carry your fees forward to a future year and no refund will be issued.
